Cycling Australia Technical Director Ron Bonham timed the high profile Oceania Road Cycling Championships utilizing the WheelTime Ultimo system. They transported their WheelTime system from Sydney down to Geelong to accurately record the times and finishing order of all the international cyclists.
"We've enjoyed brilliant training and support from the Times-7 Sport team, and this was the first event that the system has been used without their attendance" says Ron "I operated the WheelTime System with great phone support from Gavin Chaplow of Times-7 Sport. Thanks to the simplicity of WheelTime and Sportscore and the backup from Gavin I was able to successfully time this prestigious event."
The Oceania Road Champs feature some of the biggest cycling names in the South Pacific region. The delivery of accurate times for these elite athletes is crucial. It is testament to the ease of use of the WheelTime system that a National Cycling body is prepared to time such a significant event on their own.
Ron's confidence in system operation is clearly illustrated by his assertion, "On the final day I did not need any assistance at all, and everything went superbly."
Times-7 Sport General Manager Peter Armson says "It is excellent progress from our most significant customer. We value the collaborative relationship that we have developed with Cycling Australia. Their belief in our products and service is something we are all very proud of."
