Wayne Hudson is a cyclist and a passionate advocate for the sport of cycling in New Zealand. He's also a lawyer. His firm, Hudson Gavin Martin does some pro bono work for Positive Women Inc, an incorporated society that supports women and children living with HIV and AIDS in New Zealand.
Each year the organisers of the Tour de France run an event for all-comers, known as the Etape du Tour, in which up to 9,000 cyclists ride the route of one stage of the Tour. For 2010 the organisers have selected Stage 17, which will be ridden by the pro cyclists three days after the Etape. This year Etape is being run on the same day that the World AIDS Conference starts in Vienna, Austria. Wayne will not only be riding Etape but will also be rasing money for Positive Women Inc at the same time.
Visit Wayne's fundraising site to follow Wayne's training and fund-raising progress.
