T-7 WheelTime Showcased at Lake Taupo Cycle Challenge

The 34th 2010 Contact Lake Taupo Cycle Challenge continued to provide all entrants and spectators alike with a great biking experience for all disciplines. This is just one of the many reasons why this event is now recognized as being one of the world's top seven rides and is a member of the prestigious UCI Golden Bike Series. 

"One of the keys to its success is that we are always looking for ways to improve and grow the event" comments Event Director Rob McKnight. As 10,000 entrants across 12 categories converged on the beautiful lakeside surroundings, the generally quiet holiday town was converted firstly into the adventure capital and then the traditional post-event party which keeps everyone coming back for more. The event has now been running for a third of a century, so is certainly well entrenched into cycling folklore.

"We're delighted with significant growth in the number of international entrants this year. With 12 categories, including three race options for elite riders, we are confident that we're offering a quality cycling experience" says Kay Brake, Administration Director for the event.
