Let’s Get Off the Front for our Kids

Times-7 Sport is proud to sponsor Off the Front's inaugural Charity Ride to be held on October 9th, 2010. The Century, the Metric Century, the 25-Mile course, and Family Ride all offer the autumn breezes and colorful scenery of California's Central Valley. With four courses of varying distances and terrains to choose from, people with all ability levels and skill sets are able to join in the fun.

All proceeds from the ride will go to benefit Off the Front, a non-profit organization that endeavors to improve kids' education levels and battle childhood obesity.

Off The Front's goal is to give a bicycle to every 4th grade student in the impoverished areas of Fresno Unified who is able to achieve customized goals in academics, character, and service. The purpose of the bike is to motivate each child toward a healthy lifestyle through various incentive programs in the following years.

Off the Front founder Mike Slayden is working hard to bring the event together. "There is so much to organise for any event. A big thank you goes to all our sponsors who are contributing all they can to make this a wonderful occasion."
